Cosmelan Peel
Melasma, also known as mask of pregnancy, has been a growing challenge in women of all ages and skin types. Melasma is caused by an over producton of melanin in the skin, most commonly caused by hormone fluctuations in women. There has not been a treatment that has been fully successful in diminishing the dark pigmentation of melasma until now.
Cosmelan depigmentation treatment action mechanism is based on the inhibition of tyrosinase, a basic enzyme in the melanin formation process. Several of the substances present in the Cosmelan formula act by blocking this enzyme, or by inverting the metabolic process of the transformation chain.
Cosmelan depigmentation treatment involves a very versatile, dynamic process which is easily adapted to the needs of each individual patient.
