Practice Overview



Joseph P. Bark, M.D.

Dr. Bark is a native of Akron, OH. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Pre-Medicine in 1968 from the University of Akron. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1972. After completing his internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia he entered private practice in Lexington in July 1976. He was certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1977. His book Skin Secrets: A Complete Guide to Skin Care for the Entire Family was published by McGraw-Hill in 1987. Retin-A and Other Youth Miracles was published by Prima Publishing in 1989. Your Skin - An Owner's Guide was published by Prentice Hall in 1995. He has appeared on many national, regional, and local television programs and has been quoted in national magazines and newspapers providing education to the public regarding the care of their skin and the prevention of skin cancer. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and has held a faculty position with the Academy. He is the former president of the Fayette County Chapter of the American Cancer Society and is a member of the American College of Cryosurgery, the Royal Society of Medicine as well as numerous other medical association affiliations.

Dr. Bark practices general dermatology with an emphasis on cosmetic dermatology.



Andrea M. Costanza, D.O.

Dr. Costanza is originally from Nebraska. In 1999 she received her Bachelor of Arts in human biology with honors from Chadron State College, Chadron, Nebraska. She graduated with honors from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri in 2003. She then completed her internship at UHHS in Richmond Heights, Ohio and her dermatology residency at NOVA Southeastern University in Largo, Florida. Dr. Costanza is board eligible by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, Women's Dermatologic Society, the American Osteopathic Association, the Kentucky Medical Association and the Lexington Medical Society.

Dr. Costanza practices general dermatology with special interest in contact dermatitis, surgical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.



Julena D. Adams, P.A.-C

Ms Adams is originally from Gainesville, Florida. In 1995 she received her Bachelor of Health Sciences Physician Assistant degree with honors at the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining Dermatology Consultants, she provided medical care in the specialities of internal medicine, gastroenterology and cardiology. Ms. Adams is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Through her specialized training in dermatology Ms. Adams is licensed and qualified to treat and prescribe for your dermatologic needs.



Ryan P. Filiatreau, P.A.-C

Mr. Filiatreau is originally from Kentucky and was born in Louisville. He received his Bachelor of Human Sciences in 2002 from Morehead State University. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was on the Dean's List all four years. Mr. Filiatreau completed his Master's of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Kentucky in 2007. He received his board certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants August 2007. He is a member of the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. With his specialized training in dermatology, Mr. Filiatreau is licensed and qualified to treat and prescribe for your dermatologic needs.
