Samuel J. Pruden II, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Samuel Pruden is a native of Henderson, Kentucky. He obtained his Bachelor of Science majoring in biology at Murray State University. Dr. Pruden was second in his class at the University of Louisville School of Medicine receiving his Medical Degree in 1997. He completed his surgery internship at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1998. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky in 2002. After practicing as an Ear, Nose and Throat physician, he decided his true calling was dermatology. Dr. Pruden completed his dermatology residency at St. Louis University in Missouri in 2010. He then completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Pruden holds multiple board certifications. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Dermatopathology.

Dr. Pruden's professional memberships include memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the Lexington Medical Society and the Kentucky Medical Association.

His practice includes Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, dermatopathology, surgical dermatology and general dermatology.
