W. Patrick Davey, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Dr. Davey is originally from Sioux City, Iowa.  He received his bachelor degree at the University of Iowa. He graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine in 1981. Dr. Davey completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Indiana University Medical Center and is board certified in Internal Medicine. He completed his Dermatology residency and Dermatologic Surgery fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1988. He is board certified in Dermatology and a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. In 2006, Dr. Davey became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He received an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2008. He has taught at the American Academy of Dermatology (www.aad.org), American College of Mohs Surgery (www.mohscollege.org) and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (www.asds.net) national and regional meetings. He is a Clinical Professor at the University of Kentucky. His group won the Community Based Preceptor Award from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2006. Dr. Davey is the Immediate Past Chair of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (www.aaahc.org). In 2015, he received the Presidential Award for Excellence from AAAHC. Dr. Davey is interested in quality improvement, accreditation and above all patient safety. He practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
